Ambassador Moses Rugema Presents Letters of Credence to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
On Thursday, 23 April 2026, Ambassador Moses Rugema presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The ceremony formally accredits Ambassador Rugema as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This important diplomatic milestone marks the official commencement of his tour of duty in Nigeria.
In March 2026, Ambassador Rugema had earlier presented copies of his Letters of Credence to the Chief of Protocol at the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In his new capacity, Ambassador Moses Rugema will work to further strengthen the existing excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.
Rwanda and Nigeria maintain warm and steadily strengthening relations across several key areas, including trade and investment, air transport, technical cooperation, defence and security, and people-to-people exchanges.
